Structure believes that dealers and manufacturers can successfully coexist in a competitive and evolving direct-to-consumer (DTC) business environment.
Local bike shops provide a level of service and engagement that no digital DTC model can replicate. The best dealerships serve as a hub to the biking community and provide accessible pre- and post-sale support as well as after-market components and gear to create the best retail experience for their customers. At Structure we want to support our dealerships in the following ways:
Structure offers preferred pricing and payment terms to dealerships that participate in the demo bike program. We encourage demo-dealers to purchase a minimum of three demo bikes (one per size). These bikes can be sold after the restriction period at 20% off retail, which provides good margin. Special orders can be placed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to PDP dealers.
Customers who have purchased a bike online will have the option to pick up their bikes at the dealer-ship of their choice. This will provide an opportunity for the dealer to establish a relationship with that customer for assembly, fit, and ongoing services.
Structure does not provide an online bike customization program. Dealers can provide an a la carte program to build up a frame-only purchase for customers with discerning taste and specific performance requirements.
